MOVERA Showcases Smart Mobility Innovations at ITS Congress 2026, Drawing Belgian Media Attention

MOVERA participated in the ITS congress at Provinciehuis Leuven, Belgium, showcasing intelligent mobility technologies and engaging with researchers, industry professionals, and transport stakeholders. The event also brought media attention to MOVERA's AI-powered driving examinations.
Smart Mobility Technologies on Display
At the congress, MOVERA presented its Smart Vehicle, an exhibition demonstration featuring five independent technologies: the Smart Driving Test System (SDTS), Smart Parking Test System, AI Road Asset Inspection, AI Trainer System, and Undercover Police System.
The demonstration allowed visitors to see how AI and connected vehicle technologies can support different mobility applications, including driver assessment, road infrastructure monitoring, driver training, and traffic enforcement.
The event also provided a platform for discussing how these solutions could be adapted to European mobility requirements and operational environments.
MOVERA and IMOB Collaboration Featured in Belgian Media
Following the congress, Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad published an article featuring MOVERA’s intelligent driving examination technology and its collaboration with IMOB at UHasselt on research to adapt the system to Belgian traffic regulations and infrastructure.
The article, titled "UHasselt onderzoekt slimme auto bij rijexamen: zo wordt je rijtest eerlijker" (UHasselt investigates smart car for driving exams: how to make driving tests fairer), explored how AI-powered cameras and vehicle data can support more consistent, objective, and transparent assessments.
The system uses five cameras to monitor driving behaviour and capture relevant assessment points, including mirror checks, blind-spot observations, and lane-changing manoeuvres. Recorded evidence and vehicle data allow examiners to review specific incidents and support their evaluations.
The collaboration also explores potential applications beyond driving examinations, including personalised driver feedback and training support.
